A fantastic local opportunity for men in our community to access free PSA blood testing is coming up.
Last year, 463 men attended the free testing event, with 20.2% receiving a result that required further investigation. Of those who were retested, eight men were diagnosed early enough to receive treatment.
These results highlight just how important it can be to get checked.
This year, Burslem Rotary and Stoke-on-Trent Lions are working together again to offer FREE PSA blood testing for up to 300 men aged 40 and over.
A PSA test is a simple blood test that can help identify men who may need further investigation. Most men tested will be reassured, but for those who do need further checks, identifying a potential problem earlier can make a real difference.
